Event Security Guard Part-Time Position

Location: Event Venues Across the GTA 

Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $25.00/hour

Position Overview:

We are expanding our Event Security Team and seeking sharp, reliable, and presentable guards to manage security operations at high-profile events, concerts, festivals, private functions, and corporate gatherings. This is an ideal opportunity for security professionals who excel in fast-paced, public-facing environments.

Event Security Guards serve as the first point of contact for guests and are essential in maintaining safety, managing crowds, and ensuring smooth event operations. Strong communication, situational awareness, and professionalism are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control access at event entry points and screen attendees
• Monitor crowd movement and enforce venue policies
• Remain visible and proactive to deter disruptive behavior
• Respond to incidents calmly and efficiently
• Provide directions and assistance to guests and staff
• Communicate with event staff, security supervisors, and emergency services as needed
• Document any incidents or disturbances accurately
   

Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License (mandatory)
• Prior event security or customer-facing experience preferred
• Comfortable working in dynamic, high-traffic environments
• Strong communication and crowd management skills
• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and short-notice call-ins
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
• Professional presentation and conduct
• Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations
