This position involves periods of standing, writing detailed incident reports, managing access control, conducting interior and exterior patrols, and providing assistance to tenants, visitors, and the public as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure the security of the facility and that all areas are monitored and secured.
- Collaborate with emergency response teams to report irregularities and ensure the facility is free of hazards or emergencies.
- Respond to various calls for service.
- Write detailed incident reports for all emergency and day-to-day activities.
- Report unsafe working conditions in any/all areas.
- Sign in and out visitors and contractors entering the building.
- Identify and report safety concerns and hazards.
- Provide friendly and personalized customer service as a frontline representative of Base Ops Security.
- Conduct investigations and prepare thorough incident reports.
- Operate security equipment/systems, including computers, radios, and phones.
- Maintain thorough record-keeping and demonstrate strong observation skills.
- Control access to the client site or facility using pre-approved access control systems.
Education & Experience
- Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the security field.
- Previous experience in report writing is required.
- Flexible availability (afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays).
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to providing a high standard of service.
